2026 Events
featuring Eddie Barbash & KASA Quartet
Thursday, June 11, 2026, Doors open at 5 pm
Join us for another year of Rites of Spring at Landcraft Gardens, a combination of music in the garden that is unlike any concert you have ever seen or heard. Annually, Rites of Spring Music Festival brings together excellent musicians, young and old, of different races, languages, religions and national origins across the twin forks. The organization’s calling is to offer diverse communities music and beauty that transcends difference and division. Believing that music belongs to everyone, it is committed to bringing together people from all walks of life, to embody the belief that we are all close and that this territory is our huge, immensely beautiful energy reservoir and history. It pledges to partner with local businesses and other cultural organizations similarly committed to promoting the East End, combining music, the natural environment, and heritage.
Landcraft Garden Foundation and Rites of Spring is proud to present saxophonist Eddie Barbash and KASA Quartet united to breathe new life into the timeless traditions of jazz with strings. The joyous improvisation and swing of Eddie’s jazz combines with the lush sound of the KASA Quartet to bring you the best of both worlds: an octet that may make you shout with joy or bring you to tears.
From American roots music to the rhythms of Mexico, France, and Brazil, the criterion for their repertoire is simple: timeless melody. Duke Ellington, Claude Debussy, Pedro Infante, and Roy Orbison are all exemplified by this versatile dynamic double quartet.
